The club held it’s double RATG weekend on the 12th & 13th April at a property in Knowsley (Nr Bendigo) thanks to the property owners Rick Price and his wife Chris.
The event proved very successful attracting 26 entries on the Saturday and 19 on the Sunday with 4 Weimaraners competing each day (1 Wei and 3 LH Weis). The Weis took First place honours in the Open event on both days (Deb Chandler with Orya, Weischoice Silver and Gold (LH) (AI) CCD QND ORA, on the Saturday and Frank Mooney with Jedda, Bromhund Lets Play Games QND ORA, on the Sunday). The event proved very popular and a great sociable event with a meal on Saturday evening at the Axedale Tavern with about 20 people, including the property owners and a BBQ Breakfast on the Sunday.
Financially the event also did well achieving a profit of $423.03 thanks mainly due to the very generous donations from club members. A donation was made to the local CFA of $100, comprising of $60 from the club and $40 raised from camping donations.
A special thanks should also be made to the RATG sub-committee of Roz Buckley, Frank Mooney and Jackie Price who helped us put together a very successful and enjoyable event.
